Beavers Win 8-7 Walk-Off | Sean Casey made an impact in the 8-7 Beacontown win over Mudville. Casey, who finished 2nd in the BTC in hits with 195 last year, went 4 for 5 with a triple, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Beacontown reliever Tom Henke picked up the win to move to 5-0. Steve Karsay suffered the loss. Mudville's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
The Beavers procured the win, in large part because of right fielder Tony Gwynn. In the bottom of the 13th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Casey told the Beacontown Daily. | | | | |
