| Bluebirds Lose to Millstones, 7-5 | The Plattsville Millstones topped the Bay City Bluebirds, 7-5, in Bitcoin action at Thunder Bears Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of Plattsville pitcher Ed Cushman. In 8 innings, Cushman surrendered 10 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. He allowed 4 runs. Bill Husted converted his 11th save in 13 tries.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Cap Anson? The Plattsville first baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Millstones on top, 2-0. For the game, Anson had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Ed was throwing free and easy," said Plattsville manager Bill Sharsig.
With the win, Plattsville upped its record to 36-22.
