Knights Win 7-6 Walk-Off
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of New York fans at Polo Grounds 1890-1910.

The New York Knights had to overcome a big game from Boston first baseman John Carney to leave Polo Grounds 1890-1910 with a victory. And they did, winning 7-6. Carney belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The win elevated the Knights to 33-12.

Fred Pfeffer was the walk-off hero for New York. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Knights designated hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

Pfeffer told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
