Beavers Win, 3-0, at Los Angeles | Beacontown and Los Angeles duked it out and the Beavers came out victorious.
Beavers designated hitter Jesse Burkett put his stamp on his team's 3-0 win over the Los Angeles Thunder Ducks. Burkett threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball for Beacontown in the contest. Burkett went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 8-9. Scott Chiamparino notched his 2nd save in 2 chances.
Billy Nash, the 25-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Nash contributed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Beacontown up, 2-0.
"I just tried to put the barrel on it," said Nash.
