| Schulte Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle Friday, April 30th , 1937 Finishing with 4 hits is a great day for any player, but Frank Schulte made it even more special by hitting for the cycle at Culver Field I today.
Schulte had 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run for the Kansas City Regents and led them to a 9-6 decision over the Bay City Bluebirds. The right fielder also finished with 3 runs scored and 3 runs batted in.
"Awesome," Schulte said when asked how the accomplishment felt.
Frank Schulte hit an RBI double in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Dave Danforth in the 4th, singled in the 6th and tripled in the 8th.
So far this season Schulte is hitting .260 with 5 home runs, 17 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 27 hits in 104 at-bats and a .325 OBP.
