Beavers Win Hitfest, 12-10
Beacontown center fielder Mike Slattery made his presence felt in the 12-10 Beavers triumph over the Boston Boomers. Slattery went 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Harry Stine picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-2. Mickey Hughes was tagged with the loss. Beacontown is now riding a 3-game win streak.

With Beacontown leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Slattery hit a fastball from Mickey Hughes for a grand slam home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Beavers ahead, 5-0.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Slattery told the Beacontown Gazette.
