Knights Collect 8-6 Win Versus Baltimore
Hugh Duffy left his imprint on the 8-6 New York win against the Baltimore Nordiques. Duffy, who finished 4th in the ETH in slugging percentage with .598 in 1890, went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. New York starter Vic Willis was credited with the win after throwing 143 pitches over 8 innings. His record now stands at 16-2. The win elevated the Knights to 69-27.

Duffy had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-2 fastball from Ed O'Neil, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Knights a 8-6 lead. It was the 27th home run of the year for Duffy.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Reagan Rothe said.
