| Senators Bridle Thunder Ducks, 4-2 | The Albany Senators picked up a win at Eclipse Park I, knocking off the Los Angeles Thunder Ducks, 4-2. Starting pitcher Dave Anderson played a key role in the triumph. In 8 innings, Anderson surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Jake Hewitt converted his 22nd save in 26 tries.
Albany used the timely hitting of Tadahito Iguchi to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Senators ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Iguchi told the Albany Daily News.
Albany raised its record to 53-35 with the win.
