| Knights Trip Thunder Ducks, 6-5, in Extra Innings | New York beat Los Angeles at Eclipse Park I, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to catcher Yogi Berra. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Hank Fischer, credited with the win, is now 4-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit. The Knights go to 48-20, putting them first in the Ethereum Classic.
New York used the timely hitting of Johnny Pesky to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Knights on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Pesky.
