The Los Angeles Thunder Ducks downed the Pittsburgh Crawdads, 12-2, at Eclipse Park I. The Thunder Ducks were led by Bill Joyce. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Ad Gumbert earned the win for Los Angeles. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 4-2.
