| Stratton Shines in 3-1 Plattsville Win | The Plattsville Millstones got a magnificent effort from pitcher Scott Stratton, who kept Los Angeles hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Millstones win at Eclipse Park I. Stratton went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 9-4. Tony Ghelfi was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities.
Plattsville used the timely hitting of Sy Sutcliffe to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Millstones on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Sutcliffe.
The Millstones sport a record of 29-42.
