Bluebirds Need Extra Frames to Get Past Nine | Behind an impressive start by Amos Rusie, Bay City beat Mudville, 3-1. Bay City reliever Cannonball Titcomb was the winner. His record is now 3-3. The losing pitcher was Bill Clemensen. The Bluebirds raised their record to 23-27.
Bay City won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With two outs and Bill Clemensen on the mound for Mudville, designated hitter Dave Orr hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Bluebirds fans to their feet.
