Los Angeles Gets 8-2 Win | Los Angeles pitcher Stan Coveleski did his part in helping his team beat the Creepy Hollow Vampires, 8-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Coveleski went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-0. The win puts Los Angeles at 14-6.
Los Angeles used a well-timed hit by Brandon Phillips to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Thunder Ducks ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Coveleski. | | | | |
