Regents Prevail, 3-2, Over Bay City | Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Kansas City Regents and Bay City Bluebirds.
The Kansas City Regents picked up a win at Culver Field I, knocking off the Bay City Bluebirds, 3-2. Starting pitcher George Uhle was a big reason why. Uhle got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 5 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. Uhle allowed 2 runs.
Had Jody Reed not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Reed hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Regents.
"We'll hit the hot tub tonight in good spirits tonight," said Uhle.
The win puts Kansas City at 10-6. | | | | |
