Nordiques Sneak By Knights, 6-5 | The Baltimore Nordiques trumped the New York Knights, 6-5, at The Round Table. Baltimore center fielder Jim Fogarty was terrific. He was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Egyptian Healy was the winner. Over 8 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 5 hits, with 5 walks and 6 strikeouts. Norm Baker got the save, his 28th in 32 chances.
Fogarty had a timely hit for Baltimore in the top of the ninth. With New York trailing 4-3, he turned a 2-1 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 34th home run of the season, making it 6-4, Baltimore.
