Knights Lose to Senators, 5-2
The Albany Senators reigned over the New York Knights in damp conditions.

Albany starter Bob Miller had a strong outing against the New York Knights at West Side Park 1885-1890. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. Harry Staley was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 19 of 24 save opportunities.

Albany took a 5-2 lead on Mike Griffin's 35th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Griffin hit in the bottom of the seventh, left New York pitcher Kid Nichols visibly frustrated.

"We played hard and won," said Miller. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'

The win puts Albany at 83-65 this season.
