Baltimore Southpaw Tosses 3-0 Shutout | Dan Casey of the Baltimore Nordiques humiliated the Capital Congressmen at South End Grounds 1888-1894 today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 1 hit.
"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Capital manager Billy Barnie, after the game.
Casey whiffed 8 and walked 3 in the 3-0 win.
"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Casey said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
This season Casey has fanned 235 in 212 innings and collected a 12-10 record with a 4.37 ERA. | |
