| Houston Hits 3 Homers Against Anchorage Monday, September 29th , 1924 Whatever Tyler Houston ate for breakfast before his game against the Anchorage Earthquakes today, it gave him some impressive power.
The Winston-Salem first baseman smacked three balls up and out of the park at Ballpark of Winston-Salem. His home run barrage led the Conquest to take the 10-5 victory over the Earthquakes.
"When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all."
On his 3-homer day, he went 3-for-4, scored 3 times, drove in 7 and put on a display that history will remember.
Tyler Houston struck out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Rodrigo Lopez in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Chuck Ricci in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Vince Colbert in the 7th.
This year Houston is hitting .285 with 33 home runs. | | |
