Strahm Grabs North Reliever of the Year Award

The Northern League Reliever of the Year Award for 1902 has been bestowed on Anchorage Earthquakes relief specialist Matt Strahm.

The 30-year-old bullpen ace, out of West Fargo, North Dakota, nailed down the award with 15 saves in 47 relief appearances, 87 strikeouts in 70 innings and a record of 5 wins and 4 losses to go with his 2.06 ERA.

He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Ken Ryan of the Austin Bats finished second in voting, while Rudy Kallio of the Augusta Orioles finished third.
